Pregnancy Chiropractic in Nampa
Here at True North Chiropractic and Wellness, we offer gentle chiropractic care catered to expectant mothers and their unborn little ones to encourage optimal health from month one to month nine—so you can fully enjoy this beautiful time of life.
Prenatal chiropractic care is a safe and gentle healthcare method that naturally supports the mom’s well-being and her baby’s development.
Benefits for Mom
Your body rapidly shifts throughout pregnancy to accommodate your growing baby. This often leads to spinal and pelvic misalignment, resulting in pain and discomfort. Chiropractic care during pregnancy aims to realign the body and offer relief from common prenatal discomforts, such as:
In addition, research has shown that women who receive regular chiropractic adjustments during pregnancy experience shorter, easier labors with fewer medical interventions.
Dr. Zach and his team are here to listen to your concerns, determine the underlying source of your issues, and deliver specific Gonstead chiropractic adjustments to help you have the pregnancy and birth process you desire. Additionally, we offer comprehensive pregnancy and birth education classes to support you every step of the way on your journey to parenthood.

Benefits for Baby
Prenatal chiropractic care doesn’t just benefit Mom—it’s also great for Baby!
When we reduce Mom’s discomfort and stress by correcting subluxations and eliminating interference in the nervous system, her properly-functioning nervous system creates a more spacious, relaxing environment for baby to move and develop. And when the birth process is easier, it puts less pressure on a baby’s nervous system—so they can start life as healthy as possible.
Our Gentle Approach
Dr. Zach is a Gonstead practitioner, and he uses the Gonstead prenatal protocol for pregnancy. In addition, he is certified in Webster Technique, which is a pregnancy-specific method of adjustment. Both of these methods are safe for both you and your baby.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I need to lie on my stomach during an adjustment?
In many cases, we use a hi-lo table that allows you to lie on your stomach safely, even late into pregnancy and right up to birth. The midsection of the table is designed to drop away, creating space for your abdomen so there’s no pressure on your baby bump. We also use a knee-chest table for pregnant patients when appropriate, which provides another comfortable and supported positioning option.
Everything is set up with both you and your baby in mind.
Why does pelvic alignment matter during pregnancy?
It also helps open up space through the pelvis, supporting the baby’s path through the pelvic inlet, which can contribute to a smoother, more efficient, and potentially less uncomfortable labor and delivery process.
Can chiropractic care help with round ligament pain or pelvic tension?
Can chiropractic care help with sleep during pregnancy?
Many of our patients notice improved sleep as their body becomes more balanced and tension eases. When your spine and nervous system are functioning the way they should, it becomes easier to relax and find a comfortable position at night.
What if I’ve never been to a chiropractor before?
That’s perfectly okay. Your first visit is a real conversation about your health history, your pregnancy experience, and your goals. Care is always gentle, and we take the time to explain everything so you feel comfortable and confident walking in.
Can I continue care if I’m also seeing a pelvic floor therapist or massage therapist?
Absolutely. Chiropractic care works well alongside pelvic floor therapy, prenatal massage, and other providers. Many of our families take a team-based approach to pregnancy care, and we love being part of that.
Is chiropractic care helpful if I’m planning a natural or low-intervention birth?
Many moms pursuing a more natural birth include chiropractic as part of their preparation. Supporting alignment and nervous system function helps your body feel more prepared and adaptable as you move toward labor.
Is chiropractic care only for pain relief during pregnancy?
Not at all. While many patients start care because something hurts, plenty of others continue simply because they want their body functioning well throughout every stage of pregnancy. We’re here to support the whole journey, not just the uncomfortable parts.
Proper spinal and pelvic alignment can also help optimize nerve communication and overall body function, creating a healthier pregnancy environment for both mom and baby and allowing the baby to develop in utero more effectively, the way God designed them to!
